“This is the fiancé of one of my best friends and I just love how it was a snapshot at a birthday celebration and only when I regarded it on my computer did I realize the resemblance to James Dean. That’s why this picture is titled “Wer kennt schon noch James Dean” (engl. “Who even knows James Dean anymore”).
I don’t think I’m yet at a place where I can say what’s unique about my style of photography. I am influenced by a variety of artists and eras, but what I try to do in terms of portraits, which I mainly take, is attempting to capture their essence and personality in a way that makes the viewers later on wish that they knew these people or had at least been at that particular place where the photo was taken, e.g. due to its captivating atmosphere.”
Soon she will have a photopage too! Stay tuned. ♥

‘It was the first picture of our meeting, the picture with the small settings, he wasn’t expecting me to take a picture at that moment, it must be for that little unexpected reaction that I like it and it’s only him, his soul and the light.”
The interview with Julien will be up soon. Keep your eyes open!

“When I see this picture I think of a really lovely and hot day last summer. My relatives had a party at their house and because they had a pond I could finally shoot this. I had this in my scetchbook since the beginning of the year. It was the time when I really wished it was summer.
The concept was kind of difficult to do because i had to get above her, she had troubles lying on her back like this, my little cousin would always jump into the water beside her and the other people at the party were watching us the whole time. But we got the shot anyway, well I didn’t shoot this in one picture, I did an expansion instead to have her face perfectly in focus”. - Eva

“So when I remember this photo I know it was at the very beginning of my work as Hobbyphotographer and I was a little bit nervous because I did’t know if anything would Happen that i didn’t plan before! But then these two girls were so nice and crazy like me and the weather was Perfect that I wasn’t scared and nervous anymore! I think it was a good start for my little career. Today I am very proud that a lot of people like my work and it’s of course easier now to meet new people and take photos of them” - Luena

“Photography to me is creating stories and catching them in a photo so everyone can feel them when they look at it. It’s also a possibility to become different people, create different characters when taking photos of yourself or others. It’s kind of like acting or playing a game, loosing yourself in your visions and fantasies. But most of all it’s a beautiful way to catch the beauty of life, sadness and happiness of it. “

Ines Rehberger is a young photographer from Germany and her portfolio shows how much talent she has. We especially found this photo remarkable.
'I shot this photo when I was on holidays in the beautiful city of Freiburh in Breisgau to visit my friend Lara from Farbenflut photography. I always wanted Isabell to be my model since i saw her on many beautiful pictures of amazing photographers I look up to. I wanted to do something special and I wanted to use the color white. Isabell brought this amazing skull so I decided to paint her hand white and let her press it on her face. Maybe some reminds ths if 'lord of the rings' but at least that was not what I wanted to say with the handprint. For the Islam religion, a handprint means protection. So I thought maybe the handprint of protection could be a good contrast to the dead bones in her hand. We had a lot of luck because that day it was raining but the sky was blue and the sun was shining. That's were the tiny white point come from. I love the effect. In the end, I was totally happy how the pictures turned out.'

Eva Merry has a beautiful collection of photographs ! She shares her inspiration for this breathtaking photo, 'Fragility'.
'I got inspired by all the butterflies we saw earlier that day. We tried to get a picture of the most beautiful one while one of this species was sitting on a leave with a broken wing all the time. At home, I found this quote in my little inspiration book: 'Or maybe it's just that beautiful things are so easily broken by the world'. by Cassandra Clare. And I thought it really fit into my concept.'

XBellanotte, what an amazing collection of images! Her fashion shoots are lovely, but we really like the creative beauty of her conceptual photography. Here is what she has to say about one of her favorite images.
'This image holds a lot of fantastic memories with one of my friends and mentors in photography. The photo itself representative of innocence giving way to the flames of passion. It was so fun to photoshoot and edit. It's one of my favorites definitely and it's the only print of mine up on my inspiration wall!'

'Come just as you are to me. Don't need apologies. Know that you are worthy. I'll take your bad days with your good walk through the storm. I would do it all because I love you'

'The ability of catching intense scenes or even to create them made me shiver. I had to become a photographer. it was obvious.' - David Olkarny
